In what has become an unfortunate common occurrence, Braves all-star right fielder Ronald Acuna Jr. has been added to the 10-day injured list according to the Atlanta Braves.
Acuna suffered a left hamstring strain after hustling to first base in a game against the Chicago White Sox Tuesday afternoon.
Injuries have now become a glaring concern for the Braves star as Acuna has now only played in 100 games in just two seasons since signing his extension in 2019. Manager Walt Weiss did ease concerns following the game mentioning that he didn’t think it was as bad of a strain as the last hamstring issue Acuna had.
Ronald Acuna Jr’s 8-year $100 million extension runs through this season with team options for 2027 and 2028.
