The Atlanta Braves can’t seem to catch a break this season when it comes to their injury luck at catcher.

Tuesday morning the team announced that early MVP candidate Drake Baldwin was put on the 10-day injured list with a strained right oblique muscle.

Baldwin suffered the injury Monday afternoon against the Marlins as the Braves subsequently called up catcher Chadwick Tromp to replace him.

The news comes one week after Sean Murphy was also placed on the 10-day injured list with a fractured left middle finger. Additionally, the Braves announced that they would be releasing reliever Aaron Bummer. Bummer has struggled tremendously this season with a 7.63 ERA in 19 appearances.
