Michael Penix Jr. seen throwing at Falcons minicamp

It’s currently unknown the timetable on which Falcons fans should expect to see Michael Penix Jr. take full reps under center.

However this week, the team released a glimpse of Atlanta’s former first round pick throwing passes to guys like Drake London at Flowery Branch for phase two of offseason programs.

Penix suffered a torn ACL last season against the Panthers in mid November — his third ACL injury in eight years. As a result, the team signed Tua Tagovailoa to compete with Penix should the latter’s recovery bleed closer to the start of the season. Since being drafted 8th overall in 2024, Penix has started just 12 games with 12 touchdowns and six interceptions.
